Float Micro Table: concept to Red Dot

What I led

I led development of the Float Micro Table through the full lifecycle, from concept to production launch. It won a Red Dot Design Award in 2025. I also supported the Float Mini, another 2025 Red Dot winner, with mechanism refinement, prototyping and production introduction.

Prototypes that settled the handle debate

The team was split on the handle. Instead of arguing, I built a few options from 3D-printed and scavenged parts and put them in people's hands. The corner handle won almost unanimously. A physical prototype settled in a minute what a slide deck would not have.
